Liège se positionne aux Etats Unis

Since 2000, SPI+, the Liège economic development agency, has utilized the services of an American consulting firm, Global Consulting & Affiliates, to raise the visibility of Liège in the US and to encourage and persuade potential American investors, and those who advise them, to visit and establish businesses in Liège, the end result being the creation of quality jobs and investments.

Since then, the agency has forged relationships with several US regions, including Memphis, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; and, the State of Louisiana. Such relationships have a focus on the life sciences and logistics, two of Liège’s priority sectors. Of perhaps more substance, are over 25 US firms which recognize the benefits of having an address in Liège and are interested in settling in the province. Some of them have already visited the city. As an example, our Memphis partner, the Memphis Regional Chamber, has referred six companies from their region, of which five have shown a specific interest in the University of Liège's new GIGA incubator.

SPI's US network continues to grow and the level of interest in Liège as a home for American jobs and investments is growing too. The future is bright for US inward investment in Liège!
